May my child(ren) utilize the public school transportation system?
Students are not able to utilize the public school transportation system because we are a homeschool cooperative rather than a school.

May my child(ren) participate in athletics in the public school?
In the state of Minnesota, children who are homeschooled are allowed to participate in athletics in public school. However, they must participate in their residing district.

Does Pinewood Academy provide lunch?
No. Children are to bring a snack and lunch to school every day. Microwaves and refrigerators are available.

Are there any scholarships available to assist with tuition?
We do have a limited amount of scholarship funds available each school year. Scholarships are determined on an individual basis. The application can be found under the tuition and fees page.

What is the schedule at Pinewood Academy?
The cooperative operates on a 4-day school week, Tuesday through Friday. Each day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3:15 pm. Weeks where holidays fall on a Friday, we have class on Monday.

May I volunteer at Pinewood Academy?
Yes! We are looking for many volunteers for a variety of areas whether it be to teach a special class, read to students, tutor, or just be an extra set of helping hands in the classroom. If you have something you can offer, we would love to have you. All volunteers will be required to complete an application and a background check prior to serving.
